our reading
In fahrenheit i would like to know where the story takes place.It would help me get a better picture and feel for whats going on.If i could get a city or a state i could be a little more interested.Also howi would like to know where guy is from if i skipped over this stuff somebody help me out.Those are just two questions that i have.

ReplyDeleteIn Fahrenheit 451, Bradbury never really gives a certain city or town, but we know it takes place in the distant future. Part of me thinks Bradbury never named a specific town because he wanted his readers to imagine their own place that this dystopic future could take place in.
We can glean from the story that Guy grew up in this town. He seems familiar with the people and Mildred and he seem to be high school sweetheart of sorts.
I am curious as to what some of your other thoughts are in the first section of the book. What else did you find interesting?
